The Blendair CURTAIN Fire Damper Series BSHD is a simple and effective damper, designed to impede the spread of fire and/or combustible products (eg. smoke) through masonry, lightweight partition or shaft wall openings to other fire compartments of an air-handling system.
This range of Fire Dampers find it’s application in commercial building construction where ventilation, heating, cooling or air-conditioning systems are employed.
The design principle is based on an integral, interlocking stack of blades that closes by gravity to form a tightly sealed barrier when a fusible thermal link breaks at a set temperature.

The Blendair Horizontally Mounted Curtain Fire Damper Series HSHD is a simple and effective damper, designed to impede the spread of fire and/or combustible products (eg. smoke) through a slab or vertical opening to other fire compartments of an air-handling system.
This Fire Damper finds it’s application in commercial building construction where ventilation, heating, cooling or air-conditioning systems are employed.
The design principle is based on an integral, interlocking stack of blades that closes by the release of a spring coil when a fusible thermal link breaks at a set temperature.
At the close position the unfolded blades form a tightly sealed barrier .

The Blendair Motorised Fire Damper Series MFD is a HEAVY DUTY damper, designed to provide efficient airflow control and to impede the spread of fire and / or combustible products (e.g. smoke) through wall openings to other fire compartments of an air-handling system.
This range of Motorised Fire Dampers finds its application in building construction and mining industry where ventilation, heating, cooling or air-conditioning systems are employed.
The design concept is based on an interlinked set of blades connected with a solid drive shaft using a standard pneumatic actuator or electric-electronic fail-safe spring return actuator with a fusible link incorporated into closing mechanism and spring clip holding the blades in the closed position after closure.

High Performance/Aluminium
General
The VDA Series Aluminium Volume Control Dampers provide highly efficient airflow control in air handling systems. The VDA is a standard low leakage damper, available with ultra-low leakage feature (optional) and parallel or opposed blade configuration.
The damper frame, blades and linkages are made of Aluminium with minimum maintenance. Interlocking blades for reduced (LOW) leakage. Specially formed standard components and non-corrosive bearings conform to specifications required for high quality, low leakage, maximum rigidity and low operating torque. This allows the use of smaller or fewer actuators.

Low/Ultra-Low Leakage
General
The VDL and VDU Series Volume Control Dampers provide highly efficient airflow control in conventional air handling systems. VDL is a standard low leakage damper and the VDU is the ultra-low leakage version damper. Both damper types are available with parallel blade configuration for variable air volume application and opposed blades for air mixing application.
Interlocking blade edges and spring steel side seals provide the basis for reduced (LOW) leakage - the ULTRA LOW leakage version is fitted with re-enforced inflatable balloon seals. Specially formed standard components and non-corrosive bearings conform to specifications required for high quality, low leakage, maximum rigidity and low operating torque. This allows the use of smaller or fewer actuators.

Smoke Control Dampers
Ultra-Low Leakage
General
The SSD Smoke Spill Control Damper is a safety device to control the spread of hot smoke in an emergency situation and to efficiently control the airflow in conventional air handling systems. The SSD is an ultra-low leakage damper, which operates safely up to 200 degree C and meets AS1668 requirements. It will be supplied with parallel blades as standard (opposed blades - optional).
Interlocking blade edges and spring steel side seals provide the basis for reduced leakage. For ultra-low leakage the blades are fitted with high temperature silicon-rubber seals that further reduce the leakage. Specially formed standard components and non-corrosive bearings conform to specifications required for high quality, low leakage, maximum rigidity and low operating torque. This allows the use of smaller or fewer actuators.

Ergonomic Sizing
The standard duct access panel sizes have been selected after careful study of the needs of site engineering and maintenance personnel. Each door allows a different degree of access, enabling the most appropriate unit to be specified, depending on the type of equipment installed in the ducting, and the likely maintenance needs.

ACCESS DOORS
The Access Door is a robust, insulated door prehung in a heavy frame so that the unit is complete, ready for immediate installation. Each door incorporates two sets of adjustable hinges and handles (as per table) and all external hardware is chrome plated. Standard sizes are as shown and special sizes can be made to order.

MECHANICAL FEATURES
Construction - Frame is made from 2.0mm zinc annealed steel - mitred, welded and ground. Door bedding is of 1.2mm zinc annealed steel to form inside and outside skin.
Insulation - 25mm thick, in bat form.
Door Seal - The heavy duty gasket compresses on door closure and provides the air seal.
